A pair of brave tradies have taken down an alleged armed robber by performing an incredible citizens arrest.
The incident happened on Melbourne's Smith Street on Monday morning after a 34-year-old woman had used an ATM to withdraw money.
As she removed the cash from the machine, she was approached by the man allegedly holding a knife.
The two construction workers leaped into action after hearing the woman scream.

Stunned onlookers watched as the two men in hi-vis clothing held the man on the ground until police arrived.
The alleged robber, 36, was arrested and taken into custody.
