Goa 12th board results 2020 to be out next week: GBSHSE chairman
Goa Class X results is expected to be announced either in the second or third week of July.

PANAJI: Results of the Class XII Goa state board exams will be declared next week. The date of declaring the results will be announced two days prior, chairman of Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE) Ramkrishna Samant said.
“We will give two days’ notice before declaring the results,” Samant told TOI. The results are awaited by around 16,000 students across Goa. The exam was held in February-March, but three papers had to be postponed due to Covid related lockdown. Exams for the three remaining subjects were then held from May 20 to 22. Under regular circumstances, the Class XII results are announced in the first week of May.
Samant also said that students can expect Class X results to be announced either in the second or third week of July.
“The paper corrections are still in progress. The results can be expected around second or third week of July,” said Samant.
Around 20,000 students appeared for the Class X exams, which were held from May 21 to June 6, during the period of the lockdown. Similarly, Class X results are normally declared by the last week of May. But the Covid-19 pandemic and the related lockdown delayed the entire examination and result declaration process in 2020.
The new academic year 2020-21 is also expected to begin only in August, as per guidelines of the Union human resource development ministry.
Parents-teachers associations of schools and higher secondary schools in their meetings with education officials last week had overwhelmingly said that they are not in favour of physical classes being held until Covid-19 cases in Goa are brought under control.
