Thane: Fire breaks out in section of town development office at TMC headquarters

THANE: A fire, apparently triggered by a short circuit, broke out in a section of the town development office at the Thane corporation headquarters around 5am on Tuesday.
Few gadgets were damaged due to the blaze but there is no confirmation on any damage to crucial documents. No loss or injury to human life was reported as the office was shut during the incident.
"It was a minor fire in town planning office fourth floor in server room. An LED TV melted due to overheat and the fire has been extinguished. Few desktop computers were also damaged," said a rescue team member.
Offcials said that a probe will be launched in the incident.
