  • Motorola is using a Snapdragon 730G for the Indian model.

Motorola has been "laid back" in the last couple of years lately but in 2020, it is serious about getting back where it belonged. After last year's interesting launches in the affordable smartphone space, Motorola is now aiming for the big guns. The freshly announced One Fusion+ is its latest attempt to take a dig at Xiaomi, Poco and Realme in the sub-Rs 20,000 segment.

The Fusion+ was announced globally last week as a successor to the One Hyper from last year. For India though, Motorola brings in a couple of performance upgrades, which is literally the first time the company has done that for our market. Priced at Rs 16,999 and with its long list of features, the One Fusion+ comes up as an alternative to the Poco X2 and Redmi Note 9 Pro Max.

Hence, if you are interested in getting the One Fusion+, here are a couple of things you should look at.

Motorola One Fusion+ features

-The Fusion+ is one of the few phones in the country to use the Snapdragon 730G chip. This makes it a natural alternative to the Realme X2 and Poco X2. The Snapdragon 730G is a great chip for mobile gamers on a tight budget.

-The One Fusion+ is one of the very few phones this year to come with a pop-up camera. This avoids a notch or a cutout in the display, unlike the Poco X2.

-Being an Android One device, Motorola is shipping it with stock Android 10. You get the usual Moto Mods as well as new My UX customisation app. The phone also gains a dedicated button to summon the Google Assistant.

Motorola One Fusion+

-The Fusion+ has a 5000mAh battery that's bigger than what you get in the Poco X2. Motorola bundles an 18W fast wired charger with the phone.

-Motorola says the Fusion+ is a YouTube Signature device, which means it is supposed to offer the best viewing experience in its class. Its display supports DCI-P3 colours and there's even support for HDR colours.

-The Fusion+ has a plastic rear panel made to emulate a glass body. Due to the LCD display, the fingerprint sensor sits at the back.
