Vartika Singh distributes mask and spreads awareness on self protection

As the world is still amid the scare due to the outbreak of coronavirus, beauty queens all around the globe are doing their bit to support the society. With the rapid spread of novel coronavirus, daily wagers are the most affected. The less fortunate who struggle to survive with their small savings choose to feed their family with that money, rather than to buy protective gear to keep them safe from the disease.

With the partial lift of lockdown in India, many have got back to their jobs, but are still out in the open without any protection, as they do not have money to buy these masks and sanitizers which are being sold at high prices due to rise in demand. Recently, our Miss Diva Universe 2019 Vartika Singh helped the less privileged with the resources they need to stay safe.

“If you can even keep yourself safe by wearing a mask, washing / sanitizing hands, and most importantly maintaining social distance as far as possible - that in itself is a service to the world!” she said in a post on Instagram focusing on how some people have to choose to feed themselves or protect themselves. She emphasizes on the importance of protecting oneself to protect the entire community and that it’s not a choice it’s a necessity. The beauty queen visited laborers who were working without protective gear, and distributed reusable masks and sanitizers.

Vartika urged people to help the ones struggling and shared that every life matters beyond all barriers. “If you have the means to do more, help others keep themselves safe too! We must unlock for the sake of our economy, but we must do so in a way that minimizes the loss of lives. Please, please do take all precautions!” she concluded.
