Share market update: 46 stocks hit 52-week highs on NSE

NEW DELHI: Around 46 stocks rose to touch their 52-week highs on NSE in Tuesday's session.

Among the stocks that touched their 52-week highs were Adani Green, Alembic Pharma, Alok Industries, Birla Tyres , Brightcom Group, Dhanuka Agritech, GMM Pfaudler, Mittal Life Style, Network18 Media & Investments, PI Industries, Reliance Industries, Tata Communications, Ruchi Soya Industries and Ruchi Infrastructure.

Benchmark NSE Nifty index was trading 175.20 points up at 9988.90 on Tuesday on account of buying in frontline bluechip counters.

Overall, 44 shares were trading in green in Nifty50 index, while 6 were trading in red.

In the Nifty 50 index, JSW Steel, UPL , Hindalco Inds., Tata Steel and HDFC were among top gainers, while Tata Motors, GAIL, Bharti Infratel, Tech Mahindra and Britannia Inds. were trading in red. The BSE Sensex was trading 603.99 points up at 33832.79.
