Punjab: 2012 UPSC topper takes over as DC of Nawanshahr

JALANDHAR: Dr Shena Aggarwal, topper of IAS batch of 2012, took over as Deputy Commissioner of Nawanshahr on Tuesday. A graduate of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, she was also a topper of her MBBS batch.
After serving as additional deputy commissioner at Bathinda, Ludhiana, she was serving as the chief administrator, Jalandhar Development Authority and chief executive officer, Jalandhar Smart City Limited.
As Nawanshahr was the first district in Punjab to be hit by Covid-19, she applauded the efforts of the district to contain the pandemic from further spread. She promised that its prevention and eradication campaign would be taken further. She held a meeting with district officials to review the situation.
