Beauty queen hosts ‘HEW awards’ to felicitate Covid-19 warriors

All the current reigning beauty queens have a short-lived reign due to the outbreak of coronavirus. However the pandemic has not stopped this beauty queen from fulfilling her social responsibilities. Miss Big Beautiful Woman Delaware 2019 Dawn Belgrave-Pierce says she is not going to let the pandemic affect her reign and has come up with an amazing initiative.

During the reign where beauty queens spend time making appearances and championing charitable causes, this time all of them had to make their reign different by keeping in mind the rules laid down by the government to keep the society safe. While many of them have been conducting fundraising drives, donating supplies, Dawn has a very creative plan to appreciate the frontiers through nominations.

The beauty queen has been hosting "HEW awards," which stands for Healthcare Essential Workers awards by awarding them a certificate of appreciation and a gift with a personal touch. Speaking to a source she said, "I just wanted to be the hope for the hopeless and the voice for the voiceless. Just love to my fellow man."

The recent award winner is Mr. Ashton Holden from the Wilmington Police Department. “He's on the front lines dealing with all types of people. And Ashton has a love for plants, when he's not working, so his gift entailed a $50 gift card. The gift certificate of appreciation and a plant," she said. The community has been sending lots of love to the diva for her initiative, to give back a little to the frontline warriors for their selfless service.
