Actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s sudden demise at the age of 34 came as a shock for the entire nation. The actor, who was born and brought up in Bihar before his family moved to Delhi following his mother’s demise, has also deeply saddened celebs from the state.
Actor Manoj Bajpayee said Sushant was a gem of a person. “I cannot believe this has happened. He was much loved by the people, especially youngsters. May his soul rest in peace,” he said.
Sharing similar views, actor Pankaj Tripathi said, “It is a big loss for the industry. He was too young to leave the world. My condolences to his family and fans.”
Singer Anjali Akhoury, who had met him in Mumbai a few years back at Karan Johar’s birthday party, said, “He was such a jolly, friendly and down-to-earth person. People from the film industry loved his nature and the way he was. I wish this news was not true. I wish he had taken help from his loved ones or close friends to deal with the situation.”
Actress Neetu Chandra said whenever she met him in Mumbai, she used to tell him how he had made Bihar proud. “It is unbelievable to accept that the young and brilliant star is no more. We used to share stories of Patna and where we used to hang around during our school and college days. He used to laugh at my stories. I am really heartbroken,” she said.
Actress Ratan Rajput added, “He was an inspiration to many youngsters. This should not have happened. It is such depressing news. I extend my prayers to his family.”
