Coronavirus Updates: China reports highest daily number in 2 months
China reported 57 new confirmed COVID-19 cases for June 13, the highest since April 13, according to data released by the national health authority on Sunday.

- Brazil now has over 850,000 confirmed coronavirus cases with the country's total COVID-19 death toll standing at over 42,000, according to Health Ministry data, which puts the country's coronavirus mortality rate at five per cent.
- In the past 24 hours, 21,704 new COVID-19 cases and 892 new coronavirus deaths were confirmed in Brazil, Saturday data from the ministry shows. The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Brazil is 850,514 while the total death toll is 42,720.
Coronavirus spike continues in South Korea
- South Korea has confirmed 34 more coronavirus cases in a continuation of an upward trend in new infections, mostly in the densely populated Seoul region.
- The Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said Sunday that 30 of the 34 new cases are in the grater Seoul area, where half of the country's 51 million people live.
- The agency says South Korea has now recorded 12,085 virus cases. It says 10,718 have recovered, 1,090 remain in treatment and the other 277 died.
Amit Shah to hold meeting with Delhi LG, CM on COVID-19 situation in capital
- Union Home Minister Amit Shah will hold a meeting with Delhi Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and others on Sunday to discuss the COVID-19 situation in the national capital.
- The meeting comes in the wake of rising coronavirus cases in Delhi. The tally has reached 36,000 and more than 1,200 people have died due to the virus in the national capital.

- The Chinese capital of Beijing reported on Sunday 36 confirmed cases of the new coronavirus on June 13, setting an all-time high for new daily infections in the city.
- The number of cases on June 13 compares with six confirmed infections a day earlier.
More than 700 virus deaths in US in 24 hours
- The United States has recorded another 734 coronavirus-related fatalities in the last 24 hours, bringing the country's death toll to 115,347, according to a tally Saturday by Johns Hopkins University.
