Boris Johnson's father Stanley has acknowledged the Prime Minister's love child with art consultant Helen Macintyre for the first time.
Johnson Senior, 79, told the Sunday Times Magazine he had spoken with his granddaughter Stephanie, 11, in two video calls and hoped to meet her once the coronavirus lockdown is over.
The Johnsons have never before recognised the Prime Minister is the father of Stephanie, who was born in November 2009 to art adviser Miss Macintyre.
Stanley added he was also excited to meet his 14th grandchild, Wilfred, who Mr Johnson welcomed with his fiancée Carrie Symonds, 32, in April, shortly after his battle with coronavirus.

'Fourteen includes Stephanie — that's the point,' he said. 'I am particularly pleased to include Stephanie.'
He added he has spoken to his granddaughter on FaceTime 'and I am thrilled,' and now has plans for him and Rachel Johnson, Stephanie's aunt, to all meet up.
Miss Macintyre, who had an affair with Mr Johnson while he was still married to his former wife Marina Wheeler, lost a legal battle to keep the paternity of Stephanie secret in 2013.
The Appeal Court ruled the public had a right to know that Mr Johnson had fathered a daughter during an adulterous liaison while Mayor of London in 2009 - but also mentioned the possibility of a second baby.
Speculation over the paternity of Stephanie, who has a wild mop of flaxen hair and instantly recognisable features, had surfaced the summer after her birth in November.
Mr Johnson's ex-wife Marina reportedly threw him out of the house 'like a tom cat' after claims that Stephanie was the result of an affair between the then-Mayor of London and art consultant Miss Macintyre, who worked for him in an unpaid capacity.

Alongside Stephanie and his newborn son Wilfred, Mr Johnson fathered four children with Ms Wheeler throughout their 27-year marriage: Lara Lettice, 27, Theodore Apollo, 20, Cassia Peaches, 22, and Milo Arthur, 24

Miss Macintyre moved out of the £5million London home of her cuckolded partner, property developer Pierre Rolin, after Stephanie was born.
Neither she nor Mr Johnson, 55, has ever confirmed – or denied – that he was the father.
Alongside Stephanie and his newborn son Wilfred Lawrie Nicholas, Mr Johnson fathered four children with Ms Wheeler throughout their 27-year marriage: Lara Lettice, 27, Theodore Apollo, 20, Cassia Peaches, 22, and Milo Arthur, 24.
He married Ms Wheeler in 1993 after divorcing his first wife Allegra Mostyn-Owen, who he met as a student in Oxford before tying the knot in 1987.
In 2004, it emerged Mr Johnson was reportedly having an affair with journalist Petronella Wyatt who had fallen pregnant and had an abortion.
He was sacked from the Tory frontbench over the affair. In 2006, the News of the World reported Mr Johnson had another affair with journalist Anna Fazackerley.
In September 2018, news about his relationship with former Tory communications chief Carrie Symonds came to light - and they later moved in together.
