Amit Shah on Sunday announced a series of measures to tackle the disease in Delhi
update: India on Sunday recorded close to 12,000 new cases taking the tally to 324,482 according to Worldometer. The death toll from the Covid-19 infection reached 9,247 as India remains in an upward trend. 

Home Minister Amit Shah met Delhi Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and others on Sunday to discuss the Covid-19 situation in the city. 

Union Home Minister Amit Shah has called a meeting of all political parties of Delhi on Monday to discuss the Covid-19 situation in the national capital amid a recent spurt in cases. BJP, Congress, AAP and BSP have been invited for the meeting.

Amit Shah on Sunday announced a series of measures to tackle the disease in the national capital including increasing testing three times in six days, providing 500 converted rail coaches to add 8,000 beds and steps for the availability of 60 per cent coronavirus beds in private hospitals at lower rates.

Coronavirus world update: The global tally of coronavirus cases stands at 7,907,882 and 433,018 people have died from the disease so far.
