
India Coronavirus Cases: The number of COVID-19 cases in India has been rising.
India has recorded the highest single-day jump so far of 11,929 fresh cases, pushing the total number of cases to 3,20,922, the latest data from the Union Health Ministry shows. India has the fourth-highest number of coronavirus cases among 10 nations worst-hit by coronavirus. The death count rose to 9,195 with a single-day spike of 311 fatalities.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan will meet Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal today to review the coronavirus situation in the national capital, which has reported nearly 40,000 COVID-19 cases and 1,214 deaths so far.
On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with ministers and officials to review the country's response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the government said in a statement. They discussed the situation in the states and Union Territories, including Delhi, where coronavirus cases have been rising.
