Sushant Singh Rajput committed suicide at his home in Bandra, Mumbai on June 14. He was 34 years old.

The news of his suicide came as a shock on Sunday and people took to Twitter to express their grief. Indian cricket fraternity also paid their last respects to the actor. Sushant played the character of former Indian cricket team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni in the film M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story, which was critically acclaimed.

Virender Sehwag took to Twitter and wrote, “Life is fragile and we don’t know what one is going through. Be kind. #SushantSinghRajput Om Shanti, (sic)”

Irfan Pathan recalled his last conversation with the actor. He wrote, “I’m deeply shocked and saddened to hear about the suicide of #SushantSinghRajput my heart goes out for his family. I chatted with him last at the Taj Hotel Gym, I praised him for his work in Kedarnath & his reply was ‘Bhai please do watch chhichhore’ you will love it! (sic)”

Ashwin was surprised to hear the news, he wrote, “Omg no no no!!! (sic)”

Kiran Moore wrote, "It is a shocking moment for me personally, Sushant Singh Rajput was someone whom I trained for the role as Mahendra Singh Dhoni. I don't know how I or anyone who knows him will be able to recover from this shock, gone too soon my friend. (sic)"

Suresh Raina also tweeted, “Shocked to hear about Sushant Singh Rajput. Met him several times as he spent time with us for Mahi’s biopic. We’ve lost a handsome, ever smiling actor. Om Shanti! (sic)”

Sushant Singh was found hanging in his home earlier this morning.

Sushant Singh Rajput made his debut in Bollywood with the film, Kai Po Che. He was last seen in Chhichhore.
