Jharkhand: Recovery rate improves to 48 percent

The recovery rate in Jharkhand has improved to 48 percent after 18 more patients have recovered from the COVID19 infection today.

In a significant recovery shown by patients, all 109 patients confirmed in Dhanbad district have recovered from COVID-19. The last set of 14 patients of Corona who were admitted were also discharged today from the hospital. Dhanbad district is left with no active cases.

So far, the total number of cases confirmed in the state is 1735. This includes two doctors treating the COVID-19 patients at RIMS hospital in Ranchi who have been detected Corona positive, according to the reports received today.

834 people have recovered from the disease and have been discharged from hospitals, while 8 people have succumbed to the infection. In total, there are 893 active cases in the state undergoing treatment at various hospitals.

Presently, 49,545 people have been quarantined at quarantine centres while close to 3 lakh people, who returned from different states, have been home quarantined by the state government. Meanwhile, 1,03,905 samples have been tested in the state, out of which 1,02,194 samples have tested negative.
