Curbs as Covid-19 tally crosses 2,000-mark in Kalyan-Dombivli

KALYAN: The Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation imposed curbs in eight areas in Kalyan (W) from Sunday as Covid-19 cases are now 2,063.
KDMC chief Dr Vijay Suryawanshi said only essential services will be available till 5pm at Maulavi compound, Rohidas Wada, Ansari Chowk, Ambedkar road, Retibandar, Tekdi Kabristan and Dudhnaka. KDMC selected 25 volunteers to help with check-ups in those areas.
Meanwhile, a former state minister from Dombivli who tested positive was admitted to a Mulund hospital.
