update: India on Sunday recorded close to 12,000 new cases taking the tally to 321,626 according to Worldometer. The death toll from the deadly illness reached 9,199 as India remains in an upward trend. 

Home Minister Amit Shah met with Delhi Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and others on Sunday to discuss the COVID-19 situation in the city. A separate meeting will be held with the mayors and municipal commissioners of Delhi's three civic bodies.
