Vipers SC striker Fahad Bayo wants to make a step up in career by joining Premier Soccer League champions Mamelodi Sundowns.

The 22-year-old Uganda international has previously played in Zambia with Buildcon FC but is eager to move to South Africa.

He was linked with a number of clubs, including Downs, after scoring 19 goals in club and international matches this past year, and already reportedly turned down the chance to join Wydad Casablanca.

Speaking to KickOff, Bayo said: "As it is, Mamelodi Sundowns are interested in me and they have contacted me before.

"I'm ready for a move and my team is ready to release me. I'm ready for Mamelodi [Sundowns] as it's the best offer for me. If they are ready to sign me, I'm ready to join."
