There is news of relief for 65 lakh retired employees from various central government ministries and departments. Since they have to give a life certificate to the Employees Provident Fund Organization every year, they travel to the EPFO office for this.

Most former workers submit this certificate in November itself. At that time the crowd becomes very high. Many times this certificate is not submitted on time and due to this their pension is stopped.

Now, these former workers can give this certificate at any time of the year as per their wish. If they wish, the employee can come and take their letter at home. Apart from this, a scheme has been started to give this proof in a digital way also.

Also, this certificate can also be submitted to more than three and a half lakh 'Common Service Centers' working in different parts of the country.

According to the Employees' Provident Fund Organization, people who take 65 lakh pension will be benefited by starting the Common Service Center and other similar steps. The Ministry of Labor has implemented this new system in view of the corona infection.

Whoever comes under the purview of the Employees Pension Scheme (EPS) will also be provided these services at home. For this, EPFO has tied up with Common Service Center.

It is for this reason that the Common Service Center has been authorized that it can submit the life certificate of those receiving a pension.

This center will also submit life proof in a digital way. According to an official of the Ministry of Labor, in addition to the Common Service Centers, this certificate can be given in 135 regional offices of EPFO and 117 district offices. Banks where former employees have pension account, if they go to submit life certificate there too, it will be accepted.
