Noida/Ghaziabad: The
Covid-19 count in Noida crossed 700 on Wednesday, with 16 more cases. It now has 707 cases. In
Ghaziabad, three
patients died and 14 more cases were reported.
A 70-year-old woman from Vasundhara Sector 5, a 50-year-old woman from Shakti Khand and a 48-year-old man from
Chiranjiv Vihar died at Santosh Hospital, a level 3 Covid facility in Ghaziabad, on Wednesday.
The 51-year-old woman had cancer and had been tested at a private lab. The elderly woman from Vasundhara was initially undergoing treatment at a hospital in Delhi for fever. The Chiranjiv Vihar resident had also been undergoing treatment at private hospitals in Ghaziabad after having fever.
With this, the total number of Covid cases rose to 541 in Ghaziabad, while the death toll reached 17, of which seven each have been at Santosh Hospital and LLRM Medical College in Meerut, one each at
Yashoda Hospital in Nehru Nagar, Felix Hospital in Noida and LNJP Hospital in Delhi. Of the 14 patients reported on Wednesday, 13 are men and one woman.
In Noida, meanwhile, 54 patients were discharged on Wednesday and another 54 cross-notified to other districts. Covid cases in the city have seen a significant spurt in the first 10 days of this month, since lockdown relaxations were made.
