The Himachal Pradesh Government has directed officers to ensure the availability of labourers to avoid inconvenience to horticulturists. Labourers arriving from other states would have to undergo proper testing and if required they would be quarantined as well. So far, 451 patients have been tested for COVID-19 in the state.

Chief Minister Jairam Thakur has said, every individual visiting the state from other parts of the country would be medically investigated to ensure that he has no symptoms of COVID-19. He directed the officers that people should also be made aware to avoid visiting public places. In order to help orchardists during the apple season, the State Government is also ensuring the availability of labourers.

Proper testing would be done for laborers coming from other states and if required they would be properly quarantined. In view of mango season, officers have also been instructed to provide adequate manpower in mango growing areas of the state. Meanwhile, 184 active cases are being treated at various hospitals. So far, 250 patients have been cured while six deaths have been registered in the state due to COVID-19.
