Recieved word that Scindia ji, mother are healthy: MP CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan

Reports on June 9 had suggested that BJP leader Jyotiraditya Scindia and his mother Madhavi Raje had tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shivraj Singh Chouhan took to micro-blogging website Twitter on Thursday to congratulate BJP leader Jyotiraditya Scindia who recently tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

In his tweet, CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan wrote, "Received the good news about the improvement in Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia ji and his mother's health. May you forever stay healthy and content. Our best wishes are with you."

A veteran Congressman who switched over to the BJP earlier this year, Jyotiraditya Scindia and his mother Madhavi Raje tested positive for Covid-19 on June 9. Both are undergoing treatment at the Max Smart Super Specialty Hospital in South Delhi which is a designated facility for coronavirus patients.

At the time of the preliminary reports on June 9, it was said that Scindia and his mother were admitted to the private hospital in Delhi four days before the news broke. While Jyotiraditya Scindia was experiencing symptoms of the infection, his mother Madhavi Raje was asymptomatic as per latest inputs.

Sources had also told India Today that the health of Jyotiraditya Scindia and his mother Madhavi Raje is stable.

After he joined the BJP on March 11, Jyotiraditya Scindia filed his nomination papers to Returning Officer AP Singh for the Rajya Sabha elections at the Madhya Pradesh Assembly in Bhopal on March 13. Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan and other senior leaders of the BJP also accompanied Scindia for the filing.
