Full Metal Jacket: Ram 1500 “Built To Serve” Edition Honors U.S. Troops

Ram has launched the second batch of the ‘Built to Serve’ limited edition trucks, which honor those who serve or have served our nation.

Available as five different packages, each one symbolizing one of America’s land, air or sea-based military branches, it brings unique visual touches inside and out and is compatible with all body styles and powertrains of the Ram 1500.

Limited to 1,000 units each, the second installment brings the Ceramic Gray and Patriot Blue exterior colors, complete with Light Ambassador Blue accents in the cabin. Other paint finishes for the 1500 ‘Built to Serve’ include the Gator, Diamond Black, Anvil, Billet Silver, Tank and Flame Red, whereas production of the Spitfire and Bright White will be capped at 500 each. The trucks are adorned by the U.S. flag, ‘Built to Serve’ decal on the rear quarter panels and come with black trim on the grille, bumpers, badges, side steps, dual tailpipes and 20-inch aluminum wheels.

The interior continues to pay tribute to the military with exclusive trim, accented by the corresponding color stitching named the Light Frost, Light Diesel Gray, Light Ambassador Blue, Core Green and Orange. Each front seat features ‘Built to Serve’-embroidered Velcro panels, which can display the owner’s patches, such as the nametapes, regimental, flags or slogans. Additional equipment or pouches can be attached to the front seatbacks, which feature a modular system.

The ‘Built to Serve’ instrument panel badge, cloth and vinyl upholstery, Black Onyx chrome interior trim, lockable console storage and all-weather floor mats are also part of the build. Each truck comes with the 4×4 Off-Road Group content, including electronic-locking rear differential, skid plates protecting the front suspension, steering gear, fuel tank and transfer case, heavy-duty off-road calibrated shock absorbers, hill-descent control, tow hooks and all-terrain tires.
