Telangana: Engineering student axes dad to death

HYDERABAD: A 40-year-old pastor was allegedly killed by his son at the former’s house in Rapalli village in Mancherial district in the early hours of Wednesday. Police said the accused was angry with his father for not taking care of the family and constantly humiliating him. The victim, Durgam Prasad, 40, was a pastor at a church in Rapalli .
On Tuesday night, Prasad’s elder son Pranav Raj, 19, an engineering student, went to visit his father at Rapalli. “During the early hours of Wednesday, Pranav, attacked his father with an axe and killed him on the spot,” Mancherial DCP D Uday Kumar Reddy said. After committing the murder, Pranav went to Hajipur police station and surrendered before police. A case was registered against Pranav . He has been arrested.
