According to the Mirror website, Hall, winner of World's Strongest Man title in 2017, has been shedding weight in preparation for the clash with his Bjornsson in Las Vegas in September next year.
Hall previously tipped the scales at 196kg at the time of his 2017 triumph, but now weighs in at 'only' 163kg.
Nicknamed 'The Beast', Hall has been posting regular updates to his Instagram account, where over two million followers are tracking his progress.
Hall's impressive work ethic is already bearing fruit, as the 32-year-old displayed defined ab muscles and a leaner physique.
While he still hands time on his hands to hone his boxing skills, Hall will be well-advised to be wary of the challenge he faces against Bjornsson.
Bjornsson, nicknamed 'The Giant', starred in the hit HBO TV series Game of Thrones as Ser Gregor ‘The Mountain’ Clegane.
Their beef began last month after Bjornsson broke Hall's world deadlift record by 1kg, lifting a mammoth 501kg, before calling out the former record holder.
Since then Bjornsson has been doing some shedding of weight of his own, and has already cut 18kg - in just three weeks.
At the time of his world record lift, the 31-year-old weighed 206, but has since dropped to 188kg.
And he has his sights set on his showdown with Hall.
Bjornsson wrote on social media: "It's official. September 2021 in Las Vegas, Nevada, the Mountain vs the Beast.
"The next year and a half of my career will be solely dedicated towards this fight.
"I can't wait to have my family ringside as I throw you down. I'm coming for you."
