Covid-19 in Telangana: Rajanna Sircilla district records first death due to virus

HYDERABAD: A woman from Rajanna Sircilla district who was admitted to the Gandhi Hospital in Secunderabad died of Covid-19. This is the first death in the district. According to official sources, she died at 8pm on June 10.
With the death of the woman from Gambhirraopet mandal on Wednesday local authorities have taken up measures to contain any spread of the virus in the area. The woman was sent to Gandhi Hospital two days ago as she was confirmed Covid-19 positive.
On May 24, she went to attend a relative’s wedding at Lachchapet village in Dubbaka mandal of Siddipet district. After her return she was suffering from fever and cough following which a health check up was done and she was confirmed Covid-19 positive. She was put on a ventilator in Gandhi Hospital in Secunderabad as her condition grew worse where she died.
At least five Covid-19 positive cases have been reported in Rajanna Sircilla district so far.
