A fire has been reported at Mumbai's Crawford Market on Thursday. Going by latest inputs, four fire engines and four water tankers have been rushed to the spot.
The Mumbai Fire Department has initiated efforts to douse the blaze.
An initial call about the fire was made to the Mumbai Fire Department at 4:16 PM on Thursday. The level of the fire is yet to be ascertained, however, it is clear that the blaze started from a ground floor shop in the Crawford Market. No injuries have been reported as of yet.
Agencies mobilised include 108 Emergency Response Service, Mumbai Police and BMC ward staff.

Not far from the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) in south Mumbai, Crawford Market is one of the most prominent street markets in India's economic capital. First established in 1871 and known as Mahatma Jyotirai Phule Market, the area got its new name after Mumbai's Municipal Commissioner Arthur Crawford. Construction of the market building completed in 1869 and economic activity began in 1871.
