Indian and Chinese army officials are continuing talks on Thursday to find a resolution to the Eastern Ladakh situation, where the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) has created a major military buildup along the Line of Actual Control (LAC).

The talks between the two armies would continue today at Chushul and will be held at multiple levels in the next few days, sources told India Today TV.

The talks are being held at different levels to resolve the issues at patrolling point 14, 15 and 17 at Chushul, sources added.

On Wednesday, the Major Generals of Indian and Chinese forces had held the division commander-level meetings there.

The meetings are happening days after the Lieutenant-General Harinder Singh of 14 Corps met with Maj. Gen Liu Lin of Chinese army in Moldo.

Following the talks, India and China started disengaging troops at multiple locations in that area.

The talks between the two armies are also going to be held later this week at patrolling point 14 (Galwan area), patrolling point 15 and hot springs area.

The Chinese army has also pulled back its troops from the Galwan valley, PP-15 and Hot Springs in Eastern Ladakh area by 2 to 2.5 kilometres, they said. The Indian side has also pulled back some of its troops and vehicles from these areas.

Sources said talks are being held on these points at the battalion commander level and they have had hotline talks with their counterparts.
