Courier is caught on video hurling parcel over a GATE - without giving the owners time to even get to the door

  • A delivery driver has been caught on video throwing a package to its destination
  • The man threw the package from the front gate several metres to the front door
  • The clothes inside were not damaged but drew mixed opinions from online users

A courier has been caught on camera tossing a delivery from the gate of a home to the front door, without giving the owners time to get to the front door.

The residents said they were sitting in the lounge room of their Adelaide home when the doorbell rang, before just seconds later hearing the parcel land on their porch.

The 19-year-old resident said she was not angry at the delivery driver as she had experienced careless deliveries in the past.

'I wasn't mad about it because I knew it was just clothes, but we've had wine delivered and it's been broken,' she told Daily Mail Australia.

'If I had a piece of jewellery that was broken I would be be mad.'

The resident said nothing was damaged in the delivery and shared the video to a local community page because she thought it was hilarious.

But not everyone saw the funny side and some expressed their outraged over the  careless handling of items.

'We use couriers to deliver wines and the amount of wines that get broken as they are dropped at the door is a replacement cost to us. If you get paid to do a job just do it properly,' a woman said.

'No wonder the text books I had delivered a few months ago were beaten to s***,' said another user.

Others defended the throw as it caused no damage to the clothes.

'Well sometimes I rather get it this way then having to go to the post office to collect,' a woman said.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted the company for comment.
