Maharashtra being the worst-affected state has over 94,000 Covid-19 positive cases, only recently it surpassed China's tally, and soon it will take over Canada's tally too.
Presently, India has a total of 2,86,579 Covid-19 cases, with the death count at 8,102. While the nation is inching towards the 3,00,000 mark, soon Maharashtra is expected to overtake Canada's coronavirus tally, which is reportedly near 98,000.
However, the number of recoveries in India is significantly higher than the active cases, 1,41,028 patients have already been discharged till date.

While Maharashtra remains at the top of the worst-affected state, Tamil Nadu follows with over 36,000 coronavirus cases and the national capital, Delhi has recorded over 32,000 cases as of June 11.
According to the state health ministry, Rajasthan has reported 11,600 Covid-19 cases, with 259 deaths and 8,569 have recovered from the infection till date.
Reports suggest, Madhya Pradesh has crossed the 10,000 mark and Uttar Pradesh recorded over 11,000 positive coronavirus cases.
Meanwhile, the cyclone-hit state West Bengal has reported 9,328 cases till date. The adjacent states, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have recorded 5,269 and 4,111 cases respectively. Karnataka has reported 6,041 coronavirus cases. Jammu and Kashmir crossed 4,500 cases, while Haryana is close to reporting 5,600 cases, and Bihar stands at 5,710 cases.
According to reports, Odisha and Assam have also reported over 3,000 cases each. Punjab, Uttarakhand, Kerala, Jharkhand, and Tripura remain under the 3,000 mark as of now.
States that have reported Covid-19 cases under the 500 tally are Manipur, Chandigarh, Goa, Nagaland, Himachal Pradesh, and Puducherry. Coronavirus cases in Meghalaya, Ladakh, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Sikkim, and Dadar Nagar Haveli remain under the 100 count.
