Everything you need to know about Dior's online learning platform

The new initiative highlights the importance of education in present-day scenario

It was in 2017 that the Dior celebrated its 70th anniversary with the launch of its first mentorship program Women@Dior—a year-long initiative that matches female Christian Dior employees with female students to help them achieve their career ambitions. Four years after the launch of the mentorship program, the brand has taken another step forward with an online learning platform, Women Leadership & Sustainability. As Dior’s first female artistic director, Maria Grazia Chiuri has been favouring the idea of feminism ever since her appointment in 2016. Highlighting the importance of sustainability in the current times, the new initiative will help the young women to grow via exchange of knowledge. “The passion for transmission, savoir-faire and creation has always been at the heart of Dior values and culture. Today, more than ever, we must build a future that is more inclusive, more just and more responsible, by enabling younger generations—regardless of gender, origin or social background—to become the talents of tomorrow,” reaffirmed Pietro Beccari, chairman and CEO of Christian Dior Couture.

The year-long program is open to 500 international students and is solely based on the French fashion house’s four fundamental values—autonomy, inclusivity, sustainable development and creativity. The best part? The above mentioned themes will be taught through exclusive courses led by leading professors from some of the world’s most prestigious institutions, including Central Saint Martins, London, Bocconi University, Milan, and HEC and CentraleSupélec in Paris. Once the course is completed, the students will be put to test by creating a project that supports the empowerment of young girls: the “Dream for Change” project. In addiction to that, the most impactful projects will also be eligible to receive support from the House of Dior and the LVMH Group.
