LUDHIANA: While taking a serious note of increasing number of
Covid-19 cases in the district,
deputy commissioner Pradeep Kumar Agrawal has appealed to the residents not to take the disease lightly.
Agrawal said that the region reported 16 new coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours.
He further said that till date, 13,101 samples have been taken, of which report of 12,045 samples has been received. He said 11,655 samples have turned out to be negative and reports of 1,056 samples are pending. He said that now, the total number of patients related to Ludhiana is 281, while 110 patients are related to other districts or states. He said that unfortunately, 10 people from Ludhiana and 7 from other districts have lost their lives due to the Covid-19 infection.
