West Bengal: Trinamool leader murdered in South 24 Parganas district

KOLKATA: A Trinamool Congress leader was killed in a bomb explosion at Basanti in South 24 Parganas district of West Bengal on Wednesday.
Local leader Aamir Ali Sardar was murdered in an inner party feud, his family claimed, adding, "bombs were hurled at him which killed him".
The police arrested at least a dozen people and seized over a score of bombs from the area. Police said that raids were on.
His family claimed that members of Yuva Trinamool had hurled bombs at Sardar when he had gone out.
Police said that they were looking for more people. Locals said that the Yuva Trinamool and Trinamool were having a regular fight in Basanti area and there had been several deaths due to the party feud. Earlier, CM Mamata Banerjee had cautioned Trinamool MLAs Jayanta Naskar and Saukat Mollah to check violence in the area.
The fight had been going on for the past few years. The locals claimed that some CPM leaders are now Yuva Trinamool leaders and they are trying to take control of the area.
