FILE: Deputy Maharashtra CM Ajit Pawar. TOIMUMBAI: The monsoon session of the Maharashtra legislature, which was scheduled from June 22, has been postponed and will be held from August 3 now.
Against the backdrop of the coronavirus crisis and with the state under a lockdown till June 30, this decision was taken, said deputy CM Ajit Pawar.
He also said that a special session may be held for clearing the supplementary demands.
Inter-district travel in the state is not yet allowed except in the MMR region and so travelling of such a large number of people to Vidhan Bhavan in Mumbai, a Covid outbreak hotspot, would be difficult.
