NEW DELHI: FMCG shares were trading lower in Wednesday's session.

Shares of Godrej Consumer Products (down 4.26 per cent) , Emami (down 1.48 per cent) , Colgate Palmolive (India) (down 1.28 per cent) , Britannia Industries (down 1.14 per cent) , United Breweries (down 1.01 per cent) , Dabur India (down 0.76 per cent) , United Spirits (down 0.61 per cent) , VBL (down 0.61 per cent) and TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS (down 0.26 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

The Nifty FMCG index was trading 0.07 per cent up at 29544.8 around 02:07PM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 57.40 points at 10104.05, while the BSE Sensex was up 229.9 points at 34186.59.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 26 were trading in the green, while 24 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, BHEL, RBL Bank Ltd., Tata Motors, SBI, NBCC , PNB, Ashok Leyland and IDFC First Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
