2021 BMW M5 Coming June 17, This Is What It’ll Look Like

While these are renderings, there is a very good chance the facelifted 2021 BMW M5 will look exactly like this when it is presented to the world on June 17.

The premiere of the updated M5 will come shortly after the rest of the 5-Series range was facelifted. Styling modifications will be subtle but they do promise to give the new super sedan a more appealing look.

The most obvious styling change shown in these unofficial renderings from Kolesa will come at the front where BMW will fit slimmer and more angular headlights that will work wonders on the overall presence of the car. Elsewhere, BMW will tweak the blacked-out front kidney grilles and also design a new bumper with re-shaped air intakes and black intake surrounds. Alterations made to the rear will be a touch more subtle and perhaps limited to just the new taillights.

The new model will continue to be sold in M5 and M5 Competition forms from launch, both powered by a 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine producing 600 hp and 617 hp respectively. In the not too distant future, a more powerful and lighter M5 CS variant will hit the market. The most significant mechanical modification expected across the M5 family is a set of new shocks to soften out the ride.

As for the interior, a handful of small updates are to be expected. Most notable will be the fitment of a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system.

Note: These are independent renderings from Russian publication Kolesa and have not been endorsed by BMW.
