SHIMLA: The state reported its sixth Covid-19 death on Wednesday after a 53-year-old woman from
Hamirpur succumbed to the infection
Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital in
Shimla.
The state also reported six positive cases - three from Kangra district, two from
Sirmaur and one case from Solan district.
The state has now total 451 positive cases of which 187 cases are active, 247 have recovered, six have died while 11 have migrated to other states.
The deceased woman was was shifted to Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital from Hamirpur on June 4 as she was suffering from kidney ailments. She had a travel history of Delhi and had returned to the state on May 28. Her grandson was also tested positive for Covid-19 at Hamirpur on Tuesday.
A total of 47,768 people were put under surveillance in the state till Wednesday. Of them, 27,729 have completed their 28-day surveillance, while 20,039 are under active surveillance. So far, 48,923 people have been tested for Covid-19, of which 47,517 have been tested negative.
