FALL RIVER - The city is reporting 10 new cases of coronavirus for a total of 1,474, and four new fatalities, bringing the total deaths to 73.

The Massachusetts Department of Public Health reported Wednesday that 84,621 of the 100,158 state residents with confirmed COVID-19 cases have recovered, meaning they have been released from isolation as of June 10.

State health officials began sharing COVID-19 recovery numbers last week and will continue to do so on a weekly basis.

The DPH also reported 46 new COVID-19-related deaths across the state on Wednesday, bringing the state's total to 7,454.

In addition, state health officials reported 267 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total to 104,156.

The DPH began reporting both confirmed cases and probable cases of the virus last week. Of the 267 new cases reported Wednesday, 64 are probable. One of the 46 newly reported deaths fell into the probable category.

State health officials said the addition of probable cases and deaths is part of an effort to continue to offer transparent reporting during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Other key indicators continue to trend downward. The seven-day average of positive test rate is down to 4.2%, compared to 12.1% on May 11 and 16.6% on May 1. The three day average of hospitalizations is 1, 386, compared to 3, 119 on May 11 and 3,707 on May 1. The three-day average of deaths is 33, down from 118 on May 11 and 159 on May 1.

Charlton Memorial Hospital is reporting 85 patients, with 18 in the ICU; Morton Hospital has 19 patients, with two in the ICU; St. Luke's has 41 patients, with 11 in the ICU; Saint Anne's continues to report zero cases.

On Wednesdays, the state released town-by-town numbers as well. Somerset is reporting 201 cases, Swansea 129, Westport 95 and Freetown 89.

Also on Wednesday, the state released information about numbers of cases at long-term care facilities. The numbers at the area nursing homes are as follows (state data is given in ranges): Catholic Memorial Home had 1-10 cases and zero deaths; Carvalho Grove had 11-30 cases and 1-4 deaths; Clifton had 1-10 cases and zero deaths; Country Gardens had 1-10 cases and 1-4 deaths; Fall River Jewish Home had 1-10 cases and zero deaths; Revolution Kimwell had more than 30 cases and 11 deaths; Southpointe had more than 30 cases and 15 deaths; Sarah Brayton had more than 30 cases and 13 deaths; Somerset Ridge had more than 30 cases and 12 deaths.
