Share market update: IT shares mixed; Just Dial slips 4%

NEW DELHI: IT shares were trading on a mixed note in Tuesday's session.

Shares of Info Edge (India) (up 1.02 per cent) , Tata Consultancy (up 0.78 per cent) , MPhasis (up 0.77 per cent) , Infosys (up 0.3 per cent) and Tech Mahindra (up 0.11 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Just Dial (down 3.88 per cent) , Wipro (down 1.35 per cent) , HCL Technologies (down 0.37 per cent) , NIIT Technologies (down 0.19 per cent) and Mindtree (down 0.05 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

The Nifty IT index was trading 0.05 per cent up at 14901.45 around 11:45AM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 92.60 points at 10260.05, while the BSE Sensex was up 324.53 points at 34695.11.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 37 were trading in the green, while 12 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, RBL Bank Ltd., SBI, Ashok Leyland, Tata Motors, IDFC First Bank Ltd., PNB, Bank of Baroda and Federal Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
