City issues noise ordinance reminder

FALL RIVER - The city of Fall River sent out a press release Tuesday, reminding the community of the particulars of the noise ordinance.

It says that all noises that menace the health or interrupt or disturb sleep of residents between the hours of 10 p.m. and 7 a.m. on weekdays and 10 p.m. and 8 a.m. on Sundays are

prohibited.

According to the release, the Fall River Police Department and Government Center have received an increase in complaints regarding firework usage. As a reminder, the release noted that it's illegal for private citizens to use, possess or sell fireworks in Massachusetts.
