Heavy pre-monsoon showers continued in parts of Saurashtra and South Gujarat today. As per the official figures, 20 tehsils of Saurashtra and South Gujarat received rains more than 10 millimetres till 4 p.m. today.

IMD has predicted light to moderate rainfall at a few places of Saurashtra, Daman and Diu and Gujarat region over the next three days.

Maliya in Junagadh and Dharampur in Valsad recorded 68 m.m. and 40 m.m. rainfall today. Around 49 tehsils in the state witness rainfall since today morning.

Many parts of Ahmedabad city reported around 35 to 50 m.m. of rain in just 45 minutes leading to waterlogging on many roads.

The city administration has undertaken the repair of roads in a mission mode. Farmers are hopeful of the good monsoon this year.
