Want peace\, but India won’t cede an inch: Jamyang Tsering Namgyal

SRINAGAR: The Lok Sabha member from Ladakh, BJP’s Jamyang Tsering Namgyal, visited several areas of eastern Ladakh including Pangong Lake area amid the ongoing stand-off between India and China and reassured local villagers, who are fearful of possible escalation of hostilities over the border dispute.

Namgyal praised his party’s leadership after the three-day tour of eastern Ladakh and said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi not even an inch of Indian land would be ceded.

He also interacted with army officials in the area and spoke to Union defence minister Rajnath Singh from there.

The BJP MP visited Thakung and Chartse posts and assessed the situation on the ground at Finger 4 area around Pangong Lake and other posts. He also visited the bordering villages, including Phobrang-Yugo-Lukung, Spangmik, Maan-Merak, Khagtad, Chushul and Shayok at Galwan Valley side, interacted with civilians and listened to public grievances, especially about the ongoing situation.
