PROVIDENCE — Providence College and Bristol Community College announced that the two institutions have agreed on a new transfer policy that expands educational opportunities for Bristol students by enabling them to be conditionally accepted into the Providence College School of Continuing Education while enrolled at Bristol. The policy also describes a significant tuition discount for eligible Bristol graduates who choose to attend PC.

The new agreement, known as the Guaranteed Admission and Tuition Agreement, stipulates that Bristol students must sign up for the agreement before accumulating 45 credits. They also must be enrolled in a major for which an articulation agreement is in place between PC-SCE and Bristol.

To remain eligible, students must consult with a PC-SCE adviser and, if possible, a Bristol adviser on course selection each semester while enrolled. Students must complete Bristol’s associate’s degree and fulfill all terms and conditions of the articulation agreement at Bristol. They must graduate from Bristol with a minimum 3.0 grade point average, and they must transfer to PC-SCE within two semesters of graduating from Bristol.

Students who fulfill all of these requirements will be eligible for a 33% reduction in undergraduate tuition at PC-SCE. While enrolled at PC-SCE, they must earn and maintain at least a 3.0 GPA or higher and earn a minimum of 12 credits per academic year to remain eligible for the tuition discount.
