
HPBOSE HP Board 10th Result 2020 LIVE Updates: The Himachal Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (HPBoSE) declared the result of class 10 exam today, June 9. A total of 1.04 lakh (1,04,323) candidates who had appeared in the examination can check the class 10th results through the website- hpbose.org. Chairman Suresh Soni told indianexpress.com, “The result will be available at the website around 4 pm. The students will get the mark sheets later once lockdown lifted.”

The HPBOSE class 10 exams were held between February 22 and March 19. Therefore, it remained unaffected by the nationwide lockdown caused due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, it did delay the evaluation process.

To pass the exam candidates will have to score 33 per cent marks in each subject and an overall score of 33 per cent. Last year, a total of 67,319 students cleared the examination successfully marking a pass percentage of 60.79 per cent.

Students who are unhappy with their answer sheets re-evaluated or re-checked may apply by depositing fees of Rs 400 and Rs 300 respectively. The dates will be announced soon.
The mark sheet so displayed on the computer screen as and when the candidates check their results will be considered as the provisional mark sheet hence students should take a print out and download the score-card for future reference. Additionally, students will get an official mark sheet from their respective schools. While the lateral might take time, provisional mark sheet is accepted during admissions as well.
Once the result is declared, candidates will have to check their scorecard. The same will act as a provisional mark sheet. To avoid any error, students need to check the scorecard thoroughly. For the next academic session, the board has introduced 15 new vocational courses from class 9 to class 12. The courses are developed for specific vocational jobs in several sectors including IT, ITS, healthcare, media, beauty and wellness, tourism, electronics, plumber, etc. The syllabus for these subjects will be prepared by Pandit Sunder Lal Sharma Central Institute of Vocational Education, Bhopal

2015-16: Out of 1.22 lakh (1,22,614) students cleared the examination successfully marking a pass percentage of 66.88.
2016-17: A total of 76,855 students passed the examination touching a pass percentage of 67.57.
2017-18: 68,946 students cleared the examination successfully with a pass percentage 63.39.
This year, in order to avoid any malpractice, the exam authorities installed CCTV cameras in the examination halls. Moreover, over 100 flying squads kept a strict check on the examination
In 2019, Atharv Thakur had topped the HPBOSE class 10th exam with 691 marks or 98.71 per cent. He was from Hamirpur.
Last year, 60.79 per cent of students had cleared the exam last year. The pass percentage is on a decline since 2016 for HP Board
After the results are declared, students will be able to downlaod their respective scorecards from the official website. It might happen that due to heavy traffic, students may face difficulty opening the websites. In that case, they are required to maintain patience and refresh the page after 5-10 minutes to check again
The results for the state's class 12 exams are expected to be released towards the end of this month
A total of 4,335 students appeared in the pending Geography paper conducted yesterday. The HPBOSE claims that the exams were held following social distancing directives by the government
The Himachal Pradesh Board of Secondary Education came into existence in 1969. At present, more than 8000 schools are affiliated with the same. The Board has set up 1650 examination centres throughout the state. The Himachal Board also publishes textbooks for classes 1 to 12.
