With 2,259 new coronavirus patients detected on Tuesday, the total number of cases in Maharashtra rose to 90,787.
The death toll in the state also increased to 3,289 with fresh 120 deaths reported, a health official said.
Mumbai alone reported 58 deaths and 1,015 new COVID-19 positive cases taking the tally to 50,878, according to Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai.
Further, 1,663 patients were discharged from hospitals after recovery, taking the total of recovered patients in the state to 42,638, the official said.
Maharashtra COVID-19 figures are as follows: Positive cases 90,787, new cases 2,259, deaths 3,289, discharged 42,638, active cases 44,849, people tested so far 5,77,819.
