NEW DELHI: Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) on Tuesday announced the Class 10th result on its official website. The result has been declared online today morning on Board's official website - http://www.gseb.org/.

The class 10th results this year was 60.64% which is 6.33% on the lower side as compared to 2019. However, this year the number of students securing over 90% makrs has seen a remarkable decline. This year a total of 1,671 students got 90% which was a drop of 3,303 students as compared to last year.

According to the board policy, in order to clear the examination a student would require to score at least D in each subject. In case he/she get E in any subject then they need to appear for the supplementary examinations. These students will be allowed to take the re-test which will be held in July.

The date for the supplementary examinations will be announced at the time of declaration of the result.

GSEB had recently announced results for class XII science students.

This year around 10.83 lakh students appeared for the examination. The GSEB Class 10th exams got over just before the implementation of the nationwide lockdown by the govt of India to contain the Covid-19 outbreak. The first phase of nationwide lockdown was forced on March 25, 2020.

Last year result saw a dip of around 0.53% as compared to 2018. Around 67% students had cleared the exam in 2019. The English medium students posted a much higher pass out percentage than their counter parts. A total of 23.53% more students cleared their examination from English Medium as compared to Gujarati Medium students.

The Gujarat Board had started the paper evaluation work during the lockdown period but later, on government's directions, the Board stopped the paper checking work and only resumed it from April 26. The Board deputed around 15000 teachers on paper checking/evaluation work. The result was this year about 15 days late due to pandemic. The officials said that the result will be declared online.

8:30 AM: The GSEB Class X result is now available on some private websites also. In case you are facing problems in accessing your result from the official website, you may try to get your result from the private result portals.

8:15 AM: The class 10th results this year was 60.64% which is 6.33% on the lower side as compared to 2019.

8:00 AM: Last year around 366 schools got 100% result, two schools short of 2018 tally. In 2018, 368 schools recorded 100% pass percentage.

7:45 AM: In 2019, Surat had the highest passout percentage of 79.83% while the lowest passout percentage was recorded at Chhota Udepur district, that was 46.38%.

7:30 AM: Last year, 88.11% was the pass percentage of English medium while 64.58% of the Gujarati Medium Students. In 2018 the pass out percentage of English Medium students was 90.12%.

7:15 AM: This year, the result announcement was about 15 days late and it has been mainly due to Covid-19 lockdown. Last year the GSEB Class 10th result was announced on May 21, 2019. Last year, the English medium students had posted a much higher pass out percentage than their counter parts. A total of 23.53% more students had cleared their examination from English Medium as compared to Gujarati Medium students.

It is very easy to check the GSEB Class 10th result from the official website. Candidates just need their seven-digit Seat No. for cheking it.

Just open the official website - http://www.gseb.org/ - and select seat - A, B, C, S or P from the dropdown and then enter 7-digit seat number and hit the Go button, as shown in the above image.


6:30 AM: The official website ( http://www.gseb.org/) is bit slow. Candidates are advised to have patience and refresh the result page two to three times. It will take time, but the page is opening.

6:25 AM: The GSEB has activated the result link on http://www.gseb.org/

6:15 AM: The GSEB Class 10th results in 2019 was 66.97%.

6:00 AM: GSEB SSC exams were concluded just before the implementation of the lockdown. The first phase of nationwide lockdown was forced on March 25, 2020.
