Haryana health minister Anil Vij slips at home, fractures leg

AMBALA: Haryana home, health, and urban local bodies minister Anil Vij (67) suffered a fracture in his leg after he slipped inside the bathroom at his residence in Ambala Cantonment on Tuesday afternoon.
“He slipped at his residence and suffered a fracture in the left thigh bone. He was rushed to an orthopedic doctor in Ambala, who referred him to Chandigarh for further treatment. He is fine,” Vij’s media coordinator Vijender Chouhan said.
“The minister got admitted to Max Hospital in Mohali for surgery. He was rushed in an ambulance from Ambala to Mohali amid police protection,” Ambala Cantonment DSP Ram Kumar said.
