Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who on Sunday developed a fever and sore throat, has undergone a test for the novel coronavirus to check if he has contracted the infection. Arvind Kejriwal's coronavirus test reports are expected either tonight or on Wednesday morning.

The Delhi chief minister's condition is said to be stable for now but by tonight or tomorrow morning, the Delhi residents will know if Arvind Kejriwal has tested positive or negative for Covid-19.

Upon developing a fever and sore throat on Sunday morning, Arvind Kejriwal had quarantined himself.

Arvind Kejriwal was last seen addressing a video conference on Sunday afternoon when he announced that the Delhi government and some private hospitals would be reserved only for the residents of the national capital.

The order was, however, overruled by the Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal on Monday.

Officials said CM Arvind Kejriwal had attended a Cabinet meeting on Sunday morning and thereafter, he did not attend any meeting.

As Arvind Kejriwal, who is also a diabetic, developed some coronavirus symptoms, he cancelled all his meetings since Sunday afternoon, said sources.

Cutting across party lines, politicians on Monday wished a speedy recovery to Arvind Kejriwal, who has quarantined himself after feeling unwell and has undergone the coronavirus test on Tuesday morning.
