Hyderabad:The
Telangana government has decided to approach
the Supreme Court, after the state high court threatened to initiate contempt proceedings for its failure to follow previous orders on the supply of protective equipment to health workers and
Covid-19 tests.
On Monday, hours after the HC pulled up the state government, chief minster
K Chandrasekhar Rao held discussions with bureaucrats where they concluded that the government wouldn’t be able to implement some of the court’s instructions, such as on conducting tests on the dead. The CM’s late Monday meeting also found fault with media reports and public interest litigations being filed by intellectuals and social activists.
