The National Green Tribunal has imposed a fine of Rs 25 crore on the Gujarat company in the boiler blast case of Dahej Chemicals Factory. On June 3, 8 factory workers were killed in Gujarat's Baruch district. A bench headed by NGT Chairperson Justice Adarsh Kumar Goel has directed Yashswi Chemicals Private Limited to deposit the amount of fine with Bharuch District Officer within 10 days in this case.

In this, if the company has given some amount to the laborers as compensation, then it has also directed to deduct it from the fine. The bench said, "The company is fully responsible for this accident and will have to compensate for the loss." Apart from this, the NGT has also constituted a six-member committee headed by former High Court Justice BC Patel to investigate the matter.
